As a former resident of the Bay Area, I've never experienced snow, so whenever I see it out here in Brooklyn, it's crazy, and I get hella fired up. Now this is a post sorta commemorating that by going over a few things I've learned about it since I moved out here, but for the sake of flow I would recommend rereading the title, then skipping this intro, straight unto the list:
1. It is objectively cute if you’ve never seen it before.
From my experience, I’ve witnessed ppl marveling at me marveling at my first snow. It's weird, like are they looking at me? They are. You're like an encino man to them.
2. Nonetheless, whether or not you’ve experienced snow, ppl from all over still get excited over it.
They still wanna know when, and wherever it's happening. I think it's bc of global warming, and how rare it is. I know because I saw ppl posting about my posts about it. And it was an honor, truly. I felt like the news.
3. The shit I said in the last bit about global warming is real.
That should've actually been the first note. Yesterday's was the only other snow I've seen stick since I moved out here in January. A lot of standup open mic guys addressed it as a bit. And one of my last dates said it used to start snowing out here by Halloween.
In any case, here are a few videos to hold you over until then, then being the next one:
